Children’s Virtual Talks, Tastings and Baking Activity Sessions
So far over 5000 of you (chocolate lovers) have joined one of our Cocoa Runners Virtual Chocolate Tastings. This Easter we’ll be holding an encore of our series of special Craft Chocolate For Children Talks for younger chocolate lovers. Geared toward children aged 7 – 11, these bitesized talks are a must for those who love to eat and bake with chocolate this Easter. Over 1000 young chocolate lovers have joined our sessions so far. Our Virtual Tastings (held over Zoom) are free to join, but make sure you register below to gain access.
We strongly recommend ordering a Craft Chocolate Tasting Kit or Activity Kit to go alongside the guided Virtual Tasting.

TASTING: The History of Craft Chocolate: Tuesday 6th April, 2:30pm
A quirky look at the history of chocolate. From the very beginnings in Latin America, right up to the present day. We discover where chocolate came from, how it made its journey around the world and came to be the bars we know and love today. You’ll discover the how industrial espionage helped milk chocolate travel to America. We even take a look into the future, and consider to which parts of the world chocolate is yet to travel.

TASTING: The Science Of Craft Chocolate: Wednesday 7th April, 2:30pm
Ever wondered how a chocolate bar is made? Join us for this chocolate tasting and learn how many cocoa beans and bathtubs of water it takes to make a bar of chocolate. Plus, learn about the vital (and surprising!) roles played by hairdryers and hoovers in small chocolate factories. And learn about the innovations that mean that we can all enjoy smooth, creamy milk (and white!) chocolate today.

The Geography of Chocolate: Thursday 8th April, 2:30pm
A quirky look at the geography of chocolate. We look the journey of chocolate around the world, from its origins in Latin America. We talk about some unexpected places where you might find cocoa growing today, and look to the parts of the world that might yet play a part in the future of chocolate. We also look at the environmental impact of chocolate, and consider the role of climate change on the cocoa supply chain.

Our tastings are always FREE to join, but taste better with the accompanying chocolate box. Order yours today.
We will be tasting one bar that contains gluten as part of the Science of Chocolate tasting. All other bars do not contain gluten, but are made in factories that handle gluten.
Each kit contains bars that contain dairy. We will make it clear during each session when we come to bars that contain dairy.
There is a dark chocolate only option for the Chocolate Bar Making and Chocolate Lollipop Making Activity kits.
We plan to announce further dates after half term.
Each kit is suitable for 1-2 children.
The make-along sessions on Tuesday and Thursday require adult supervision as children will need to melt chocolate as part of these sessions.
Younger children may benefit from having an adult nearby during the History/Science/Geography of Chocolate sessions, in order to get the most out of the interactive technology.
Our sessions for children take place via private Zoom webinars. We control who joins the session and any problematic individuals will be removed as we go.
We will only show the faces of the presenters. All other participants will not be visible.
