Growing in an isolated valley, only accessible by small fishing boats (“peñeros”), Chuao from Venezuela is widely accepted as one the world’s best cacaos for over 400 years. This bar benefits from the complexity and richness of this renowned cocoa, as notes of dark cherries and plums, develop into blackberries on the finish.
The packaging for this bar was designed by Friederike, wife of chocolate maker Ali – with a background in maths, she has carefully produced these geometric unicorns so that they fit perfectly next to one another.
Rózsavölgyi Csokoládé – Madagascan Criollo 71%
This bar is as close to a work of art as chocolate gets. Made in Budapest and designed to resemble a traditional tile, it’s made with 71% fine Madagascan cocoa beans and is bursting with natural fruit notes and liquorice.
This wonderful packaging was designed with 18th century tile patterns as inspiration, the delicate print transports you back in time toa different age of art.
Karuna – Kokoa Kamili, Tanzania 70% Dark
A Tanzanian bar that is well-roasted, with bright highs of tangerine, lime, and green apple before wonderful honey notes at the end.
This vibrant and funky packaging is designed by chocolate maker, Armin’s brother – the design is reminiscent of a doodle that transports you to the rainforest wheres leaves and cacao are intertwined.
Omnom Nicaragua Milk
This Nicaraguan Milk chocolate is no exception to Omnom’s focus upon quality. This bar is deliciously smooth and fudge-like in texture whilst also exhibiting opulent flavours of caramel, malt and biscuits. The natural flavours of the Nicaraguan cocoa are used in perfect harmony with cocoa butter and milk in this bar to create a chocolate that is expertly balanced and deliciously indulgent.
