Making chocolate since 1954, today Spanish maker Blanxart remains faithful to its origins; all of its packaging and boxes contains the same logo and its production is overseen by fourth generation master chocolatier Xavier Cordomi.
This is deliciously strong bar, with many subtle layers. The inclusion of a hint of vanilla makes the bar surprisingly creamy for such chocolate of such a high percentage, but as it melts, flavours of intense smokey coffee are released. Ending in a slight heat with intriguing notes of something a little spicy and peppery.

A dark and intense bar, yet not too bitter or overpowering, still creamy. It allows the flavor profile of the chocolate to come through, slightly peppery and spicy. I recommend this bar to someone looking to start trying higher percentage cocoa bars.
