    San Francisco is a hub for technology and that’s what initially attracted Todd Masonis and Cameron Ring, founders of social network Plaxo. Luckily for us, in 2010 they decided to turn some of their technical prowess to chocolate making, setting up a factory and café in the city’s Mission District.

    This Mantuano bar is made with cocoa beans from a female-run co-operative on the Caribbean coast of Venezuela. The beans are roasted at a high temperature for a short time, resulting in a deeply roasted flavour with natural notes of coffee, hops and barley with just a hint of spice.

      Strong roasted tones of flavoursome coffee, but with a sweeter aftertaste to help take the edge off. Smooth and woody, a hint of cinnamon, but hidden by the intense roasted tone.
