On 21st June 2022, the International Chocolate Awards announced this year’s winners of the European, Middle Eastern and African Bean-to-Bar Competition. Whether you love the intensity of an 100% bar or not, there were a select few that stood out to us amongst the winners.

Chocolat Madagascar – Ambohimena, 100%
This intense 100% cacao chocolate has a rich flavour profile of roasted nuts, plum and caramel. An amazingly mellow and well rounded bar with a toasted finish. The beans for this bar were grown at Ambohimena farm located on the Mava estate in the Sambirano valley, Madagascar.
Friis Holm – La Dalia, Lazy Cocoa Growers Blend 100%
An intense, full bodied, 100% dark chocolate made with a blend of beans that unveils a pleasant acidity and beautiful black cherry notes as you taste it.
