Description
On 21st June 2022, the International Chocolate Awards announced this year’s winners of the European, Middle Eastern and African Bean-to-Bar Competition. Among the winners, there were a handful of milk chocolate bars that we thought were really worth a try!
But don’t just take our word for it – we’ve created our very own ICA milk chocolate box to make it easier for you to sample some of these winning bars, so you can discover their delectable, smooth flavours for yourself.
Tobago Estate Chocolate – Laura 45% Milk
This bar has a unique, amber-like appearance, with a caramel hue that hints at the flavours inside. It’s extremely buttery and releases caramel notes from the very first bite. The epitome of indulgence, it has a wonderfully smooth, luscious finish.
Fjak – Dominican Republic, Oak Smoked Salt and Nibs, Milk 45%
A deliciously smooth and creamy milk chocolate, complemented perfectly by crunchy cacao nibs & oak smoked salt from Bodø, Norway.
Friis Holm – Nicaragua, Dark Milk 65%
The vibrant fruits of Cacaosuyo’s Piura dark take on a sweeter, almost caramelised flavour. A little fermented tang from the milk, cuts through the bar and balances out the sweetness. The bar has a long and irresistible raisin finish with hints of butterscotch.
Krak Chocolade – Sierra Nevada, Colombia 55% Dark Milk
Fudgy, rich and spiced. Krak has crafted an incredibly moreish dark milk chocolate bar. It’s not too sweet and you can taste the delicate nuances of the cacao, from the almonds to nutmeg and cinnamon to the tropical fruits. This is a chocolate bar that keeps on giving on flavour.
