Ethereal – ABOCFA co-op, Ghana 70% Dark Chocolate
This chocolate is pure rich, fudgy and chocolate pudding, a flavour one can truly only describe as chocolate pudding.
Fossa – Semai Community, Malaysia 75% Dark
This bar has a distinctive flavour profile of sour cherry and deep oak, with accents of walnuts also coming through on the long finish.
Grenada Chocolate Company – 60% Nib-A-Licious
Cocoa nibs are small pieces of roasted cocoa bean that make a delicious snack in their own right. This 60% dark chocolate bar from The Grenada Chocolate Company is studded with nibs that give it a wonderful intensity and delicious crunch. Truly Nibalicious!
Karuna – Kokoa Kamili, Tanzania 70% Dark
A Tanzanian bar that is well-roasted, with bright highs of tangerine, lime, and green apple before wonderful honey notes at the end.
Latitude – Semuliki, Uganda 70% Dark
Latitude’s 70% bar delights in a light acidity with bold cherry and dried fruit notes before a long, balanced finish.
Naive – Karimui, Papua New Guinea 65% Dark Milk
A 65% dark milk made exclusively for Cocoa Runners, this bar has a woody profile with notes of liquorice and citrus. It’s reminiscent of the smell of light sawdust, with a pleasant smokiness on the finish too.
Qantu – Oh la Vache! 60% Dark Milk
Qantu’s first foray into milk chocolate has bagged them a Best in Competition Award at the 2020-21 International Chocolate Awards World Finals. An aroma of dates and plums is joined by caramel, raisins and honey on the tongue, with a finish that keeps going and going.
Soklet – Anamalai, India 70% Dark Chocolate (Please note: this bar has been replaced by Karuna – GoGround, India 70% Dark).
This 70% dark chocolate bar from India contains a delightful combination of bright fruity-sweetness and acidity. Rich with hints of nuts and coffee, it’s a great example of all that Indian chocolate has to offer.
Solomons Gold – 70% Dark (Please note: this bar has been replaced by Minka – Esmeraldas Flash Roast 77% w/ Nibs)
This intense and savoury dark bar has a profile of woodsmoke, with hints of malt and wild honey.
Tobago Estate Chocolate – Laura 45% Milk
This bar has a unique, amber-like appearance, with a caramel hue that hints at the flavours inside. It’s extremely buttery and releases caramel notes from the very first bite. The epitome of indulgence, it has a wonderfully smooth, luscious finish.
Hogarth – Buttered Toast and Sea Salt
It’s a morning ritual for Hogarth’s founders to start their day with a piece of rye toast and pure New Zealand butter. Using classic Vogels Original bread and sumptuous butter, they’ve put that savoury and salty feast into a chocolate bar.
Tosier Chocolate – Maya Mountain Belize 70%
Rich caramel and honey trickle through bright, tangy, tropical fruits, with pineapples in the foreground.
