Manufaktura Czekolady – Zoque, Mexico 50% Milk

By Manufaktura Czekolady

A softly spiced bar with a malty profile and notes of chocolate brownie and raspberry jam on the finish.

In stock

These Mexican beans with their spicy profile have been softened by the sweet milk. The bar is malty, with notes of chocolate brownie and raspberry jam.

Manufaktura Czekolady was Poland’s first single-origin, artisan chocolate maker when it was founded in 2009 by IT professionals Krzysztof Stypułkowski and Tomek Sienkiewicz. Through their range of single-origin bars, Christopher and Thomas tell a chocolate story about the flavours of different regions and about how chocolate is made. Open the packaging of any bar and you will find a diagram that shows you all the steps involved in their chocolate making, which they do by hand in a traditional way similar to that of 150 years ago.

The Chiapas region of Mexico is the source of the very first cocoa beans to travel to Europe in the early 16th century. Boasting over 4000 years of continual cocoa production, the region is proud of its cocoa-growing heritage, and remains an important centre for much of Mexico’s biodiversity.
