Description
This generous dark chocolate bar has been crafted in Vietnam using cocoa beans from the province of Ben Tre. The bar opens with a spicy aroma that leads to notes of nutmeg, cassia & peppercorns. A little sweetness mixes with mellow coconut.
The well-tempered bar is glossy with a clean sap. Thanks to Marou’s added cocoa butter (made from beans of the same region) the chocolate has a smooth, buttery texture which makes eating it a particularly indulgent experience.

I enjoyed it but failed to get the coconut flavour which is in the 55% bar.

Nice smooth and fruity flavour, long slow melt that leaves a good lingering aftertaste.

juicy and delicious

Subtle bar with pleasant sweet fruity tones that develop slowly. Minimal acidity, smooth, slow melt and long after taste. I’m not giving it full score, as I prefer some more powerful chocolates.

Very intriguing bar. Not bitter or acidic but warming and welcoming. Initial hints of fruit and warm spices and peppercorn which fade to form a subtle sweetness. Chocolate very smooth and melts wonderfully, a great bar from Marou, so far my favourite of theirs.
