Michel Cluizel was born into a family of bakers. His father Marc was a baker and chocolatier, who set up his first business in the French town of Damville in Normandy, France. Since 1971 the company has been making chocolate from the bean, working with many great cocoa plantations in South America and Africa.
This bar is a 66% dark chocolate made from cocoa beans from a single plantation in Mexico. Its smooth texture and fruity, roasted flavour helped win it a silver medal at the 2013 Academy Of Chocolate Awards.

Very smooth, very chocolatey. Roasted hazelnut and pecan gentle notes, hint of berries and spice, but just so sweet and so easy to eat more and more..
