    Have it all with this luxuriously large collection of carefully curated milk and dark chocolate bars. From some very special craft chocolate makers, this box explores an array of contrasting tastes.

    First is a dark chocolate bar crafted in Sao Tome by Diogo Vaz.  This bar is crafted using Diogo Vaz’s signature Amelonado cacao. Amelonado had been the prevailing cacao grown all over Africa, indeed it is often referred to as ‘West African Amelonado’ worldwide. However, pure Amelonado cacao is extremely rare to find in Africa today, with the original strains having been modified with the introduction of hybrids.

    Next is a 70% dark chocolate bar from our first Brazilian maker, Luisa Abram. Luisa and her family use wild cacao sourced from small cooperatives in the upper basin of the Amazon. To the beans they add nothing but a little organic sugar, giving the true flavour of Amazonian cacao.   The cocoa from this bar is a wild cocoa sourced from the Rio Jari region, and formed part of the 2017 harvest.

    This bar has a green, almost earthy aroma, but the flavour is most unexpected.  A sharply astringent dark chocolate, strong honey notes with a hint of hazlenuts.  We detected a richly indulgent cocoa finish and some toasty malted notes.

    Next indulge in Chocolat Madagascar’s 50% Milk Bar. Chocolat Madagascar crafts its chocolate in Madagascar, using local cacao and local ingredients. This is an incredibly fudgy milk chocolate, rich with uplifting fruity flavour notes that the island is famous for.
