Morin – Jamaïque Maravia Dark
The prestigious Morin family have been making chocolate in France since 1884 and the company is now run by Franck Morin. In 1958 Franck’s grand-father, André, opened a chocolate factory and started to make bars. Morin source their cocoa beans from a range of places around the world, including Trinidad and Tobago, Ecuador, São Tomé and Principé, Madagascar, Venezuela and Jamaica. They even have some bars made out of Burmese beans!
Beans from Jamaica carry natural flavours such as berry tones, nutty hints and occasionally, even earthy tone all at the same time.
Hints of fruit and vanilla. A rich double cream note opens the bar, followed by a touch of banana. A sweet finish.

Well described by CR’s own tasting notes. It’s fruity with touches of vanilla, banana and lots of cream. Definitely a chocolate bar to be appreciated and not shared.
