TASTING NOTES
We were so excited to try this unique combination and it did not disappoint. Inspired by NearyNógs’ stunning Irish surroundings, the incredible earthy base is accentuated beautifully by the subtle coconut flavour of the gorse flowers and the saltiness of the seaweed. Subtle hints of juniper flow through as the thick chocolate melts away.
ABOUT THE MAKER
NearyNógs was founded in 2011 by the husband-and-wife team of Shane and Dorothy Neary. Situated in County Down at the base of the Mourne Mountains and overlooking the Irish Sea, NearyNógs is dedicated to bringing you delicious, ethically sourced chocolate flavoured with the finest local ingredients.
THE BEANS
This Dúlamán bar is part of the company’s Irish Collection. The 70% Dominican chocolate is made from Hispaniola beans sourced directly by Fernandez Badia of Agrocacao from a single-estate small family cacao farm in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic, which are then hand-sorted to ensure only the very best make it into their bars. The result is an exquisite finish and incredible flavours in every bar.

Couldn’t taste the gorse or the saltiness of the seaweed, nothing special for me.
