TASTING NOTES
Underneath a thick layer of dark chocolate lies yet another devilishly indulgent treat from French maker François Pralus.
Sweet and incredibly rich pistachio nougat hides delicious pieces of whole pistachio adding a little crunch to the smooth chocolate and thick nougat.
At 160g Pralus’ Barres Infernales are our favourite alternative to dessert.
ABOUT THE MAKER
Pralus has been making patisserie and baked treats in Roanne, France, since 1948. Auguste Pralus quickly became famous for his Praluline, a gorgeous brioche packed with rose-sugar-coated pieces of almonds and hazelnuts. Auguste’s son François is now at the helm, and Pralus has become famous the world over for its fabulous chocolate. François is a master chocolate maker – he’s always on the lookout for new cocoa beans and has recently bought his own farm on the Madagascan island of Nosy Be.

Absolutely loved it. The pistachio filling which is smooth and nothing like I tested before marries beautifully with the dark chocolate.

A bar of very rich pistachio flavoured goo with the odd nut lurking in it. Far too rich for me, nor could I taste the chocolate.
