Description
Pump Street Bakery Honduras Bread & Butter is a decadent dark milk chocolate with unique inclusion. Blending its baking and chocolate making skills, Pump Street has mixed sourdough crumbs into the milk chocolate.
The bar uses the same Honduras beans as its Honduras 80%. The sweet and delicate cocoa has a natural aroma of yeast and caramelised currants. The addition of milk and crumbs compliments the beans’ flavours, resulting in a bar strongly reminiscent of a toasted tea cake smothered with melting butter.
The chocolate has been crafted using beans from the Finca Tres Marías estate. This is family owned plantation located in the mountains of Northwest Honduras. The farm was originally a cattle ranch, but the family have branched out planting a range of different crops – from plantains to allspice. With the help of the Honduran Agricultural Research Foundation they have become the first cacao farm in the area.
Pump Street Bakery Honduras Bread & Butter won Silver at the International Chocolate Awards World Final 2016.
