An Ecuadorian dark chocolate bar, created by Rococo and Montecristi. The chocolate has a slow melt and thick creamy texture. Sweet vegetal notes of asparagus and squash gradually build as the flavour develops. Buttery hazelnuts and currants come through, revealing hidden depths.
This bar was specially created by Chantal Coady of Rococo in collaboration with Susana Cardenas of Montecristi. In April this year, Manabi province suffered a devastating earthquake. Local communities are still struggling to rebuild. Susana and Chantal have therefore collaborated on this bar to help farmers recover.
