Unfortunately this bar is no longer available in our Library. Please see below for four bars that we think you will enjoy.

Inside Sirene’s striking packaging you’ll discover a double treat: a tasting pair of two slender dark milk bars.

First the Madagscan. Despite the high cocoa content this bar still has all the sweetness of a milk chocolate. Sugared notes of brown butter mix with jammy apricots. The flavour lingers on the tongue, leaving behind a the faintest suggestion of summer berries. Thanks to the splash of milk Sirenes has managed to craft a bar with a supremely smooth and rich texture.

The second dark milk uses beans from Guatemala. A far more unusual origin, we were intrigued to try this and delighted by what we discovered. The creamy bar has a cooling quality and touch of menthol. The sweet but subtle milky flavour reminded us a little of a panna cotta or creme caramel. A delicate hint of maple syrup on the finish.

At 65% each both these bars are headed towards the darker end of milk bars. In fact, Sirene says that they shouldn’t really be called milk chocolate at all, and instead describes the pair as ‘dark chocolate with milk added as a seasoning’.

This tasting duo won 1st Prize at the NW Chocolate Festival 2015.
