The Tasting Wave

Description

We’re celebrating the holiday season with this collection of delicious chocolates; giving you the chance to try the bars we were tasting on Sunday Brunch on the 11th December 2022!

Our co-founder and chocolate expert, Spencer Hyman, chatted chocolate and Christmas with Sunday Brunch presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer. Introducing three festive bars to three wonderful guests; Gyles Brandreth, Joanne McNally and George Takei.

Each bar is bursting with festive flavours and interesting textures.

Inside this box you’ll receive:

Chocolate Makers – Sinterklaas Kruiden 40% Milk

Warm winter spices abound in this festive bar from Dutch creator Chocolate Makers. This festive milk chocolate bar is flavoured with traditional Dutch Sinterklaas herbs, giving the bar a flavour profile of warm winter spices. The beans are sourced from Conacado, a large cooperative of roughly 10,000 small-scale farmers in the Dominican Republic, and are brought to the Netherlands on the sailing ship Tres Hombres, as part of Chocolate Makers’s aim to one day create a CO2-free cocoa supply chain. It’s a festive treat that’s impossible to resist!

Fjak – Lingonberry and Reindeer Moss 70% Dark

Fjak’s Reindeer Moss and Lingonberry bar is very much a homage to the wondrous landscape outside of their factory. Close to Europe’s largest mountain plateau and wild flocks of reindeers, Agur and Siv often take trips into the mountains to forage reindeer moss and lingonberries. Reindeer moss grows in bright light green-grey swathes and adds hints of earthiness to the bar, while the lingonberries grow on low bushes and are bright red with a tart taste. The bar is rich with notes of black cherry, citrus & Autumn berries from the Norwegian mountains.

Chocolarder – Caramelised Blonde, Ghana 40% White

Chocolarder’s mature take on a childhood favourite – the caramelisation of the Ghanaian cocoa gives rise to notes of biscuit, caramel, and sweet shortbread. The beans, sourced from the Kuapa Kokoo cooperative, are pressed by Chocolarder themselves to produce a rich cocoa butter, which is then caramelised to create that infamous caramac flavour.

Enjoy with family and friends, or gift as a Christmas present!
