Virtual Tasting and Cookalong with Sunday Brunch’s Simon Rimmer, Tappers Gin and Cocoa Runners
Back by popular demand, we are very excited to be running our SECOND craft chocolate and speciality gin tasting and “cookalong” with Sunday Brunch’s Simon Rimmer and Tappers Gin’s Steve Tapril.
This session takes place on Thursday 17th June, from 7-30 pm (UK time) via Zoom.
We will be recording the tasting, and we will make the recording available to anyone who purchases the tasting kit. This means you are welcome to purchase the kit after the tasting has been held. BUT IT’S MORE FUN TO ATTEND THE LIVE EVENT!
Tappers will be sending out the full kits, and event dial-in details in June. But purchase now to secure, or even gift, a Tasting and Cookalong Kit.

What’s going to happen?
With his charm and relaxing style, Simon Rimmer will treat you like a guest on the show, inviting you to try some amazing chocolate bars that have are all tried and trusted “winners” from past Sunday Brunches. He will also be teaching us all how to cook salmon using some of the wonderful Tappers Gin in a live “cook a long”
Tappers’ founder, Steve Tapril, will also be explaining more about Tappers Gin and showcasing two new recipes and cocktails.
And Spencer Hyman from Cocoa Runners will explore three different craft chocolate bars, inviting you to share your impressions over menti.com.
Be prepared for EXTENSIVE audience interaction – so dress for the occasion.
Your kit will include three craft chocolate bars:
- Omnom’s Black N Burnt white chocolate
- Pump Street’s Sourdough and Sea Salt dark bar
- Zotter’s Butter Caramel filled milk bar
You’ll also receive a Simon’s salmon recipe in advance (and we strongly recommend, Sunday Brunch style, that you prepare all the ingredients before hand .. removes the stress)
Topping and tailing the talk, Steve will be showcasing a classic Tappers Gin with two ingenious recipes.
How will it work?
You’ll be give a link for registering for the event once you’ve ordered your kit. Tappers gin will be handling the logistics (so if you order from Cocoa Runners, we will need to share your delivery details with them following GDPR policies and procedures). Then, closer to the time, you’ll be given a link for the Zoom session. On the day, join in the interactive session, and follow along with Menti.com on handheld device.
