Over the past decade we’ve been on a quest to collect the world’s best selection of craft chocolate, in every sense.

We work with artisan makers who not only care about the varietal of beans, but also how they’ve harvested, the quality of fermentation and drying process. In short, they care about craft. That’s why many of our makers go to meet growers, forming a strong, sustainable relationship that supports the production of the world’s best craft chocolate.

Before welcoming an artisan chocolate maker into the Cocoa Runners collection, we spend time building up a profile, visiting their facilities and understanding more about how they craft their chocolate. They must buy beans directly from specialty growers and be in control of the process, from roasting and conching to grinding and tempering.

We’ll never list a bar if we don’t know where the beans come from. That’s why we work with growers and co-operatives, directly talking with them about their growing techniques and relationships with makers. This way, everyone is paid fairly for their contributions to the production of craft chocolate.

We believe every human has a right to natural food that hasn’t been highly subsidised with fat and sugar. This is contrary to a food industry that has marketed unhealthy, unnatural and environmentally devastating convenience foods as the main option for consumers. We’re on a mission to change that – enabling craft chocolate adventures to be experienced, conveniently and consciously.
