There is an awful to say about how chocolate impacts on the environment. There are some environmental horror stories to tell about deforestation, land degradation, and carbon emissions. But there is also a lot to say about the sustainable cocoa growing which supplies craft chocolate makers: Cocoa can be grow sustainably in agroforests which harmonise rural communities with the tropical forests they live with.
