Chocolate and Coffee Tasting with Spring Valley Coffee

This tasting is an exploration of cacao sourced from across Africa, interwoven with specialty coffee from Kenya’s Spring Valley Coffee. Together, these two traditions offer a fascinating lens on flavour, history, and craft. Through a guided tasting try many different types of chocolate, pausing along the way to explore how carefully roasted Kenyan coffees can shift and shape your perception of cacao.

You’ll also uncover the shared histories of chocolate and coffee as drinks, learn simple techniques to help you better understand flavour, and experiment with sensory exercises that reveal just how complex these everyday pleasures can be. The chocolate showcased in this unique tasting will all be sourced from Africa, but crafted by the best makers from around the world.

About Spring Valley Coffee

Established in 2009 in a Nairobi neighbourhood historically renowned for its coffee estates, Spring Valley Coffee is Kenya’s original specialty coffee roaster. • The tasting will take place at Spring Valley Coffee, 24 Camden Passage, London N1 8ED
• It will run from 6:30 – 8:00 including plenty of time for questions.
• If you or anyone in your party have allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know in advance. You can do this by replying to the email we’ll send you a few days before the event.
• Please note tickets for this event are non-refundable.
• You will be served a variety of coffees during this tasting, but you don’t have to drink all of it (your sleep will thank you).
