CR Special: Exploring Flavour, with guest host Uri Bram from the Browser
- 17th January 2024 - UK Time
- 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm
- £0.00
How well can you remember and identify different flavours? From a range of chocolate bars, could you work out which were made from the same beans? Do you experience and remember flavour in the same way as other people?
Join us for this special, one-off, informal tasting with Spencer Hyman and Uri Bram, as we explore and experiment with craft chocolate. We all know how to describe colours, summarise a book, recite a poem etc. However in trying to describe flavours and aromas, we often struggle. This session is designed to explore how craft chocolate can help develop a framework for flavour by tasting a bunch of different bars, and then testing our flavour memorisation skills.
The tasting will open with an introduction from Spencer Hyman, Co-Founder of Cocoa Runners. You will then be put into small teams, where you’ll be given various tasks and questions related to identifying flavour in craft chocolate. This is a very interactive event – we will be putting you into teams with people you don’t know, so please come ready to join in and meet other craft chocolate fans!
Uri Bram is publisher of The Browser newsletter, author of Thinking Statistically, and creator of Person Do Thing. He is based in New York, and we are delighted to be hosting this special tasting with him while he’s in London.
