Do you love milk chocolate as much as we do?

Join Chocolatier and Pastry Chef Paul A. Young as he guides us through the delightful world of bean-to-bar milk chocolate. The craft chocolate world can be accused of sidelining milk chocolate – but not here. We are putting the nation’s favourite treat front and centre, with a full tasting of milk chocolates.

Learn about the history of the milk chocolate bar, understand why we love them so much, and explore the different flavour possibilities. You’ll leave with a better understanding of, and even more appreciation for, the delightful world of milk chocolate.

The tasting will run from 12:30-13:15 on Sunday 13th October, 2024 at the Fidelio Cafe, Farringdon.

 

About Paul A. Young

Paul A. Young is a renowned British chocolatier who began his career as a Head Pastry Chef under Marco Pierre White. In 2004, he co-founded Paul A. Young Fine Chocolates, opening several shops in London. Young has published two chocolate cookbooks and frequently appears on cooking shows such as on This Morning, sharing his expertise in craft chocolate.

  • Tickets are non-refundable. If you purchase tickets but cannot make the event, please contact us and we’ll see what we can do.
  • Please arrive five minutes before the event is due to start.
  • The tasting will run for approximately 45 minutes.
  • If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know. We will do our best to provide alternatives where possible. Please note, we may not be able to cater for severe allergies, as many events will be taking place throughout the day in the space and we cannot guarantee there will be no cross-contamination. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us and we will do our very best to accommodate you.
  • The event is taking place as part of the Cocoa Runners Craft Chocolate Fair, which is free to enter.
  • The tasting will take place downstairs in the main tasting room. Please leave time before/after your event to explore the craft chocolate market upstairs, and meet makers from across the UK.

The Cocoa Runners Craft Chocolate Fair

A busy room with two floors, with lots of chocolate makers and people speaking to them at stallsOn 12th and 13th October, Cocoa Runners are hosting their annual Craft Chocolate Fair to kick off Chocolate Week 2024. Meet craft chocolate makers from across the UK and beyond at the indoor market, and join a series of talks, tastings and experiences in our beautiful tasting room. The event will take place at the Fidelio Cafe and Concert Venue in Farringdon, London from 11am-6pm. Attendance to the fair is free, with ticketed talks and tastings taking place across both days. Pump Street Chocolate will also be serving drinking chocolate and bringing treats from the famous Pump Street Bakery.

Following the success of the first Craft Chocolate Fair in 2023, and previous sold-out events at Canopy Market, this year’s Fair will see even more bean-to-bar chocolate makers bringing their chocolate to London, including Chocolarder, Duffy’s, Tosier, Beancraft, Land Chocolate, Dormouse and more.
