Why Craft Chocolate is a ‘Good Mood’ Food with Tim Spector

Just days before the release of his new book Good Mood Food, Professor Tim Spector joins Cocoa Runners for a chocolate tasting, discussing fermentation’s role in chocolate, the health benefits of savouring craft chocolate and how to unlock them as part of a gut-friendly diet.

Tim, alongside craft chocolate expert Spencer Hyman, will share how he developed recipes to support energy, mood and brain health, and the role chocolate has to play in that picture. Together, they’ll guide you through a selection of craft chocolates – highlighting different regions, fermentations, percentages and approaches to making chocolate – while sharing practical tips for bringing good cocoa and chocolate into your everyday diet.

Tim will also chat about ZOE’s Daily 30, a plant based gut health supplement, and you’ll get to try the new Gut Health Bar, a new delicious snack bar with over 10 plants designed by scientists to feed your gut microbiome; their history, benefits and insights so far.

Along the way, you’ll learn to articulate flavour and texture using the Cocoa Runners Flavour and texture Wave, and explore how unlocking flavour can improve your own diet and habits.

Tim and Spencer will round off the evening by answering your questions on all things chocolate, gut health, and the science behind good food.

Don’t miss this rare chance to hear directly from one of the UK’s leading voices in nutrition science – just days before his new book ‘Good Mood Food’ hits the shelves, which includes 100+ gut friendly recipes to help you feel better every day. It is available for pre-order on Amazon now.
