This year, celebrate Father’s day with a box full of craft chocolate bars made by father’s with their daughters and sons – and save over 15% with this gift box
We’ve selected five very different bars; see below for their details and “parents”
Luisa Abram – Brazil, 52% Dark Milk
While Luisa is out sourcing beans in the Amazon, her father – Andre – helps sort the complex logistics of getting bars from the family factory in Sao Paolo to our Devon warehouse. This Dark Milk bar is crafted from wild Brazilian beans Luisa sources in her many travels in the Amazonian basin
Zotter – Handscooped, Butter Caramel
An all time favourite from Austria, and the creation of Joseph Zotter with his daughter Julia this “Butter Caramel” bar shows how Craft Chocolate too can hit the “bliss point”
Askinosie – San Jose Dell Tambo Ecuador 70% Dark
Shawn Askinosie left a career where he tried to save people from being put behind bars (he was a defense “attorney”/lawyer) to crafting chocolate bars, in homage to his parents and with explicit goals around service (to farmers, to his co-workers and to local communities. His daughter Lawren joined Askinosie after graduating from College, and is now their Chief Marketing Officer. The beans from this bar come from one of the first group of farmers Askinosie worked with, San Jose in Ecuador
Pump Street Chocolate – Crayfish Estate Grenada – 70% Dark
Father and daughter team, Chris and Joanna Brennan, were one of the first Craft Chocolate Makers here in the UK (they are based in Orford and Woodbridge in Suffolk). The beans in this bar reflect Chris’ Carribean heritage, and are sourced from Grenada’s Crayfish Estate.
Pralus – Sao Tome 75% Dark *Please note this bar has been temporarily replaced by Pralus – Dominican Republic 75% Dark*
This particular bar is made with cocoa beans from the island of São Tomé off the western coast of equatorial Africa. We love the smooth texture that’s complemented by a rich and spicy flavour with notes of gingerbread and honey.
