This box includes four indulgent ethical chocolate bars:

Fjak – Tumaco, Colombia, Dark 70%

This is a replacement bar for Fjak’s 70% Tanzanian Women’s Lot bar, but don’t worry, we’ve replaced it with something equally delicious. Fjak’s Colombian 70% dark chocolate bar from Fjak is rich and astringent. We tasted savoury tasting notes of soy sauce, almonds, and tart green apples. Fjak is founded and run by Agur, who is passionate about sharing her Nordic-inspired flavours in craft chocolate.

Original Beans – Femmes de Virunga, Milk 55%

This very dark milk chocolate bar is wonderfully creamy and smooth, with heights of cappuccino and roasted nuts gently rising as it melts on your tongue. It’s sure to be a delight for all those who love their chocolate and their coffee.

Standout – Idukki, India, Dark 70%

This is a replacement bar for the Peru, Dark 70% bar from Standout. On taste, this dark chocolate bursts with rich sultana and dried fruit notes, with quite the “Madagascar” quality within the bar. The melt and texture is smooth, with a nutty finish.

Menakao – Dark 72%

This is a dark chocolate that will hit you with an intense fruity and citrus flavour from the moment it starts to melt. Look out for notes of cider and balsamic under all those fruit flavours too. That fruitiness is typical of cocoa from the island of Madagascar, but we think it’s especially notable in this bar. This bar has been sweetened just enough to release the full flavour of the cocoa, and has a long and subtly acidic finish.
