Feitoria do Cacao – Chantaburi, Thailand Dark 70%

This award-winning 72% dark bar from Feitoria do Cacao is spicy and aromatic with stone fruit like apricot and plums. The bar then develops into a clean acidity with hints of green apple and grapefruit.

Bare Bones – Guatemala, Dark 65%

Guatemalan beans are famous for their sweet and floral aromas, which are brought out expertly in this creation from Scottish chocolate maker Bare Bones. The single-origin 65% dark bar plays on that floral sweetness with notes of honey and tropical fruit.

Standout Chocolate – Lachua, Guatemala, 70% Dark

This Academy of Chocolate 2022 Gold award-winning 70% dark chocolate is vibrant from the get go. We get the tropical and citrus juiciness and acidity, with the grounding tea leaf astringency and rich cocoa body.

Qantu – Morropon, Peru, Dark 70%

This bar won a Silver Award at the International Chocolate Awards 2023. Initially, the bar opens with a green sherbet-like aroma. As the chocolate melts, lemons and lime burst through alongside some cherries and plums. As with all of Qantu’s bars the chocolate has a wonderful acidity that strikes just the right balance. While this is undeniably a zesty and fruity bar, a gentle spice, similar to green pepper also comes through.
