This chocolate bar is a celebration of Bare Bones’ long-standing partnership with Glasgow and Edinburgh based Ka Pao restaurant.

Initially we tasted upfront notes of plums, followed by an almost herbal note. The bar has a slight astringency on the back, and is very chocolatey – like a chocolate dessert.

About the maker

Bare Bones Chocolate was founded in Glasgow in 2018 by Lara and Cameron, two craft chocolate lovers who decided to try their hand making their own. The results speak for themselves! Multiple successes at the International Chocolate Awards and Great Taste Awards have followed, and their beautiful packaging, made from recycled paper coffee cups and repurposed food waste, highlights their commitment to great taste while protecting the planet and its people.

The beans

These incredible beans are meticulously grown, harvested and fermented for 6 days in wooden boxes on a single-farm by Nguyen Van Doai. The farm resides in the Lam Dom Province in the het highlands of South East Vietnam.
