Just as crafting great coffee requires the skills of farmer, roaster and barista, we think that the same is true of craft chocolate. You need to pay the same attention to the beans, their crafting and then the final recipe to create wonderful drinking chocolate. So with our friends in the speciality coffee industry, we’ve created drinking chocolates that require only three ingredients: milk, single origin chocolate and a splash of hot water to kickstart the process.

Charismatic, biologically diverse and rich in landscapes, Virunga is one of the most important regions in the world. Located in the rift valley, it sits along a uniquely rich geological formation classified as World Heritage Site in 1979. Since 2008, Original Beans has supported local cacao smallholders in earning a stable income producing and preserving organic-certifed Virunga cacao. For every pack of drinking chocolate sold, Original Beans plants or preserves two trees in the Virunga national park.
