Mirzam – India Dark 65%

Mirzam India is sweet dark chocolate, that exclusively uses Indian cacao beans. Mirzam is the United Arab Emirate’s first craft chocolate maker and it creates all its bars straight from the bean.

Thanks to its location in Dubai, Mirzam is at the center of the ancient roads that connected Europe and Asia. The history and stories of the maritime Spice Route inspired Mirzam to chose India as an origin. Everyone of Mirzam’s unique chocolate recipes also reflects the rich ingredients and varied food culture of the different nations.

India may not be a country with a strong history of cacao, but it is fast developing its agriculture. Although there are still only a few farmers growing cacao for craft chocolate makers, they are producing some great beans.

Tasting Notes

The bar has a sweet, almost honeyed note. Discover a touch of lemon and mixed spice before an unusual smoked note comes through. The smokey notes remind us slightly of cured ham, but without any unpleasant ‘meaty’ flavours.
