ABOUT THE MAKER
Manufaktura Czekolady was Poland’s first single-origin, artisan chocolate maker when it was founded in 2009 by IT professionals Krzysztof Stypułkowski and Tomek Sienkiewicz. Through their range of single-origin bars, Christopher and Thomas tell a chocolate story about the flavours of different regions and about how chocolate is made. Open the packaging of any bar and you will find a diagram that shows you all the steps involved in their chocolate making, which they do by hand in a traditional way similar to that of 150 years ago.
THE BEANS
The beans in this bar are grown in the Nueva Guinea region of southeastern Nicaragua, before being processed at Ingemann’s central fermentation and drying facility. Thanks to Ingemann’s pioneering research and investment, Nicaragua was recognised in 2015 by the International Cocoa Organization as a source of 100% fine-flavour cocoa.
