This is a bright 65% dark milk bar from Chocokoo. The milk brings out a smooth caramel and toffee note which enhances the warm notes of coffee and toasty cinnamon.

About the maker

Wrapped in Nordic mittens, Chocokoo is Estonia’s first bean to bar chocolate maker. After Kristel Lankots wanted to radically change her life’s direction to do something she really loved and something that she could call her own, it meant moving away from her financial responsibility in the construction industry and into the world of chocolate-making. Equipped with a degree in economics and business management, Kristel founded Chocokoo with the aspiration to create something tangible from her hard work.

The beans

The beans for this bar were grown at the Hacienda La Carrera plantation in El Salvador. Some of the cocoa trees varieties on the plantations after over 100 years old, so it follows that a family of cocoa trees that have spent such time on earth deserve a long name: trinitarios finos de Aroma y criollo.
