Ali and Friederike have crafted this smooth and delicate dark chocolate bar from cacao grown in Belize. Chocolate Tree have carefully reduced the acidity that is naturally present in the cocoa beans and added a little organic cocoa butter to mellow the flavour and create a smooth texture.
Chocolate Tree partner with Uncommon Cacao to source this cacao from Belize, and in doing so are striving to maintain biodiversity in Belize through careful organic agroforestry. Chocolate Tree visited Belize in 2018, travelling to the cocoa plantations and cooperatives to gain a deeper insight behind the cacao and the farmers they are sourcing from.
This 75% Belize dark chocolate has Chocolate Tree’s signature smooth and fudgy melting texture. The slightly higher roast comes through with a subtle fruity edge and juicy finish.
