Fjak – Kokoa Kamili, Tanzania 70%
Fjak crafts its small batch chocolate in the depths of Hardangerfjord in Norway. Making chocolate since 2015, it was only late 2017 that Agur and Siv officially launched Fjak. Those two years acted as the experimental stage, where Agur and Siv endeavoured on the pursuit of crafting great chocolate – from ethics to flavour – with the vision of making production scalable from the get go.
About the Beans
This 70% dark chocolate is crafted from cocoa beans grown in Kilombero valley, bordering the Udzungwa Mountain national park. Social enterprise, Kokoa Kamili, drives a huge change by buying wet beans directly from the farmers at premium prices, and carefully controlling fermentation and drying.
This smooth, rounded dark chocolate gifts notes of banana and raisins with Fjak’s classic creamy mouthfeel.
