Chocolate Naive was founded by Domantas Užpalis in 2011 with the belief that only the best ingredients in the world are capable of making great chocolate. Naive has close relationships with all of its suppliers, visiting each of them at least once a year. They must be committed to sustainable growing practices and strong environmental management, for which they are rewarded by payment at least 40% above the market price.

The beans

The beans for this bar come from Venezuela, whose fine-flavour cacao stands out for two key reasons. First, the nation’s geography shields it from most natural disasters, leaving the majority of its plantations largely untouched. Second, genetic studies have identified rare, “pure” cacao varieties still thriving in certain regions. One such gem is the Trincheras cacao, found in the rainforest hills near the ocean. This exceptional cacao offers a rich and intricate flavour journey.
