Chocolaterie Robert crafts its chocolate in Madagascar. The company is named after its founders, Robert, a French couple from La Réunion, a small island next to Madagascar. The Robert couple had been producing their chocolate since 1937, set up in Brickaville in Vohibinany. At the time this had been the main cultivation area. Robert slowly began to relocate its production bit by bit towards Ambanja.
This 75% dark chocolate is deep in flavour with a smooth texture. It’s not as bright and acidic as you might expect from Madagascan chocolate, but it is perfectly balanced in flavour.
