This bar is made from some of the worlds rarest cacao, sourced from the Finca la Rioja plantation in Soconusco, Mexico. A 70% dark bar with gorgeous citrus notes and a good length.

In the heart of Porto, you’ll find the incredible craft chocolate makers, Vinte Vinte – with an aim of producing some of the finest quality chocolate. Their name sake is based on where they source their beans – all their cacao comes from farms within 20 degrees north or south of the equator – the ideal growing conditions for cacao.

What do other people who've discovered Vinte Vinte - Mexico Soconusco Finca la Rioja 70% have to say?
This is very good Mexican origin dark chocolate. I was surprised I didn’t find this origin earlier. To me, it’s a good bar as it seems to hybridise the best of all origins further south on the west coast in South America, including Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Remember, there’s a distinction in South America of west coast vs east coast. Colombia, Ecuador and Peru are on the west coast, and it’s to an extent harder/easy to forget to see how this bar overlaps with places in the east of South America, such as Venezuela if that’s an origin a dark chocolate taster forgot about. Overall, this bar is incredible! I really think it has a great feel of hybridising all of the origins in South America on the west coast. As said, it might not overlap with eastern locations in South America as much but to a degree still could, so that is an interesting pairing with this, along with all other origins in the Americas.
