This is a dark milk bar from Aroko made with organic Alpine milk and puffed rice. The creaminess of the milk is balanced out by the crunchiness of the puffed rice to create an nice texture and melt. We detect creamy notes of orange, peach, and papaya.

About the maker

Aroko Chocolate was founded by Dubraska Gonzalez and Johonny Spagnolo, two Italian-Venezuelans based in Italy. Their mission is to showcase the remarkable diversity of Venezuelan cacao while bringing together two cultures: Venezuela’s rich cacao heritage and Italy’s tradition of craftsmanship.

The beans

The beans for this bar are sourced from the Lake Maracaibo area of Sur Del Lago, Venezuela. The region is known for producing some of the finest cacao in the world, in particular Criollo and Trinitario due to its rich soil and good conditions for farming.
