About the bar
This bar is super complex with a great length. We tasted spicy, peppery notes, which works perfectly with the honey and nutty flavours which come later in the tasting wave. There were also some lovely light fruity & floral flavours towards the end.
About the maker
Ana Maria started Mucho Chocolate in 2012 as a museum to showcase Mexico’s rich heritage in chocolate. She quickly realised that there was a huge gap in the market for fine Mexican chocolate, and she has set out to highlight and reveal the amazing variety of cocoas and cocoa growing regions in Mexico, so Ana Maria started her production of chocolate bars in 2014. Mucho’s packaging is delightfully minimalist – and eminently presentable.

The beans for this bar have been sourced from Finca Frida, in Mexico – the Finca Frida project comprises several hundred hectares of crops, including mango, timber trees, and cocoa.

This bar is so incredibly good beyond belief, I felt absolutely compelled to leave a review. It actually looks to be the best bar on the entire site cubed cubed. It’s not only near the origin point of north Central America, this bar is made at the origin point unlike others which is a new variable appearing in dark chocolate imports. It’s unfathomably incredible that this bar literally exists here, with it eerie there’s not much awareness of it. The potent vibe it gives after eating it is very very powerful with some I think spotting this being linked to origin and now also, where it’s made. This review could be eerie almost, but maybe not. Look, I think this bar really is that unusually good!
