Brand new to Pump Street’s Easter collection this year is a large, hand-poured easter egg made with molten craft chocolate embedded with the taste and texture of buttery chocolate chip cookies from our bakery. This majestic egg will transport you to the moment of settling down with a packet of your favourite cookies. This is achieved by grinding cookies into the base chocolate before pouring the chocolate into the large egg mould. There are tasting notes of crisp edges, butter, and rounded cocoa.

About the maker

After a long and successful career at IBM, international jet-setter Chris Brennan briefly retired before deciding to pioneer the making of sourdough and other breads in his idyllic countryside bakery in Orford, Suffolk. About a decade later, he and his daughter Joanna decided to delve into crafting award-winning chocolate in their eponymous bakery situated on Pump Street, and have won numerous awards for both their chocolates and their innovative packaging.

About the beans

Pump Street Chocolate crafter this chocolate using beans from Hacienda Victoria in Cerecita, Guayas, Ecuador. Their process involves sorting the beans, roasting them according to a crop year-specific roast profile, grinding and conching them into a smooth chocolate, then grinding the cookies into the smooth chocolate infusing every bite with a satisfying crunch and buttery sweetness.
