This Peruvian 75% has a big fruity kick upfront, before developing into a more measured profile with subtle woody notes.
ABOUT THE MAKER
In 1935, Fernande Gobert named her chocolate company after the beloved Queen Astrid, Swedish princes and wife of King Leopold of Belgium, who died in a tragic car accident that same year. The company is now owned by Christophe Bertrand, who has established farmer cooperatives in Haiti and Cameroon. His mission is to develop further the company’s high-quality, fine-flavour, and ethical chocolate while supporting cocoa bean producers and increasing their local revenue.
