Chocolarder balances smooth, rich 70% dark chocolate with vibrant, chewy candied orange peel for a bar that is bursting with citrus flavour. The deep cocoa notes complement the bright, zesty orange, while the carefully crafted texture ensures every bite is indulgently smooth with a satisfying chew.

About the maker

Chocolarder crafts its chocolate in Falmouth, Cornwall. Chocolarder’s exciting line of fine single-origin bars and delightfully innovative locally-inspired inclusions use only top quality ingredients that succeed in doing better for the environment and the communities at their source. The whole company has at its heart an ethos of “ethical transparency”. Mike Longman – founder and chocolate maker – is unwavering in his commitment to a truly transparent and sustainable production process, even to the point of transporting his beans to Falmouth by sailboat.

The beans

The cocoa beans for this bar are sourced from Seram Island, Indonesia, where the farm employs over 40% women and actively supports the local community. Contributions include funding local schools, constructing medical facilities, and renovating churches and mosques.

For the orange inclusion, Chocolarder partners with Natoora, a supplier dedicated to sourcing the best seasonal produce. Oranges juiced for fresh fruit blends often leave behind a valuable byproduct—the peel. Chocolarder repurposes this into candied orange peel and an intensely flavoured orange-infused chocolate, ensuring minimal waste and maximum flavour.
