About the bar
This is a 40% milk chocolate with a rich and creamy taste. The touch of added sea salt cuts through the sweetness and enhances the chocolatey flavour of this delicious bar.
About the maker
Dutch founders Rodney and Enver began to create bean-to-bar chocolate in Amsterdam in 2011. They are as passionate about ethics and sustainability as they are about the chocolate itself; they use only Organic ingredients, pay 50% above the Fairtrade price, and aim to become carbon neutral in their chocolate production. One aspect of this comes from their factory in Amsterdam’s harbour, which has such a large solar panel-covered roof that they generate more power than they consume.
The beans
The cocoa beans for this particular bar are transported on the sailing ship Tres Hombres from the Dominican Republic to Amsterdam, hence the name.

Very creamy and milky, but for me lacking the salt. I love salted chocolate but I didn’t detect enough of it in this bar. That being said, it is still very tasty.

We loved this. I think the salt is really well balanced and had to remind myself there was some in there to be honest. If you want a chocolate hit without polishing off a whole bar (with will power!) 2 small chunks does the job given the intensity.

Creamy and milky, very soft, intense and fudgy but then a strong liquorice taste which isn’t to my taste. That would be alright but the salt ruins for me, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste. My sister really liked this bar, it’s just not for me.
