The Azores archipelago is located in the northeast of the Atlantic Ocean, about 2000km west of the Iberian Peninsula. The land is volcanic and the climate mild, with Atlantic rain that irrigates its pastures all year round. These natural conditions provide exceptional quality in Azorean milk.

Feitoria do Cacao has produced an original recipe of white chocolate to enhance the Azorean’s unique milk flavour by combining natural cocoa butter with a very low amount of sugar, without flavouring or emulsifiers (like all the chocolates of our brand) . Sweet but balanced, where you can appreciate the richness and the pure taste of the Azorean Milk in a chocolate bar shape.

About the maker

Sue and Tomoko are the pair behind Feitoria do Cacao. They are based near Porto in Portugal. They do every step of the chocolate making in process by hand, crafting bars in micro-batches. The very reason behind Feitoria do Cacao started with Tomoko Suga and Sue Tavares having taken a trip to São Tomé and Principe. In São Tomé and Principe, the pair visited cocoa plantations and learned of the harvesting and post-harvest practices involved in the cultivation of cacao. It seems only natural Feitoria do Cacao would eventually craft chocolate made using beans from this origin.
