About the bar

This Cocoa Runners exclusive bar from Heinde & Verre comes with two bars, both made with beans from Peru. The first bar is a smooth Piura Peru 71% dark bar, with tasting notes of young red fruit, passion fruit and a soft nuttiness on the finish. The second bar is a 61% milk bar, with caramel, candied fruit, dried grapes, nuts, and a hint of tropical spices.

This bar is available exclusively for Cocoa Runners Club Members.

About the maker

Dutch business partners, Heinde & Verre are the Netherlands’ latest excellent craft chocolate makers, developing incredible bars with unique recipes. Established in 2019, they have been growing rapidly expanding their bar catalogue, inventing new recipes and sourcing more wonderful cacao.

The beans

These Gran Nativo Blanco beans were sourced from the Piura Valley of northern Peru. Rediscovered in 2008, the varietal was reintroduced to the region with the help of the Norandino Cooperative, founded in 1995 and now serving over 7,000 smallholder cocoa, coffee, and sugar farmers.
