  • Description

Welcome to our November 2021 Mixed Craft Chocolate Collection!

Beginning this month’s collection is Solkiki’s 62% Peru bar with coconut milk. The beans for this bar (called ‘Gran Chililique’) are grown on the hills around Chililique, Peru. The producers of this fine flavour cacao are all smallholder farmers that live and cultivate cacao around this community, located in the District of Chulucanas, Piura.

For our next bar, we have included a wonderfully creamy Guatemalan bar from BOHO. The Q’eqchi’ Maya, who rely on the traditional cultivation of cocoa, honey, cardamom, and corn for their livelihoods, have partnered with Uncommon Cacao to centrally ferment and export their high-quality, fine-flavour beans to the international market.

The third bar is an exquisite Ecuadorian dark bar from Casa Cacao. Established in 2012 by Carlos Eduardo García Fuentes and named after his wife, Victoria, the estate that grew the beans for this bar is leading the way in sustainable, socially responsible cocoa agriculture

Belvie’s Don Duong dark bar ends this collection. The beans in this bar are sourced from a farm in Don Duong, a district of the Lam Dong province. Situated in a cool climate about 1km above sea level, the farm belongs to an old couple, who also plant mandarin, coffee, tea, guava, and other fruits among their cocoa trees.
