Description
We have some fantastic bars in our April 2022 collection.
Beginning this month’s collection is a delightful bar from one of our newer makers; Moka Origins. It’s a 72% dark chocolate made with cocoa beans from northern Ghana’s ABOCFA cooperative. This bar has a deep and rich chocolatey flavour, and as it melts, it presents notes of cinnamon and ripe stone fruits.
For our next bar, we have a 75% dark chocolate bar. From Zotter, with beans sourced from in Guatemala, comes a bar with an intensely fruity flavour profile. You’ll find notes of cherry, banana and peach, with a mildly peppery finish.
The third bar this month takes us to Venezuela. Here we have a 70% dark bar from Franceschi. Franceschi is a maker focused on fine flavoured cacao from Venezuela and this bar is a great showcase; notes of coffee, almonds, and honey, with an overall effect of crème brûlée.
And finally, this month’s milk chocolate comes from Standout. This 60% ‘dark milk’ bar combines takes cacao from Idukki, India with Nordic milk to create a bar with a luxuriously slow melt and creamy texture. It has flavour notes of summer berries in cream.
