Description
This dark chocolate bar from Pump Street Baker is a buttery bar with a smooth, indulgent melt. Rum and raisin is mixed with a touch of caramel and brown sugar giving a rich and decadent aroma. We noted hints of smoked honey on the finish.
Pump Street has sourced these beans from Desmond Jadusingh’s Jamaican planation. Once owned by his grandfather, Desmond bought the plantation back in 2002. After it was devastated by earthquake in 2004, Desmond boldly decided to take control of the fermentation and drying of his own beans.
But don’t just take our word for it! Have a look at what the attendees at one of our recent Virtual Tastings had to say about it:

It's a nice chocolate, but we tasted it as part of CR's tasting experience and the other chocolates were considerably more interesting.

Reviewing the 2018 Saint Thomas crop from Bachelor's Hall Estate. Classic dark brown colour. Tangerines on the nose. Very sturdy, slow to melt. Start somewhere between malt and marshmallow, and dives towards honey. Walnuts at the finish. Complex and delicious.
